Joe is an internationally bestselling writer, a podcaster, and a life and creativity coach. His work has been nominated for both the Bram Stoker Award and the International Horror Guild Award, it has been translated into Italian, German, Russian, and Chinese, and his latest trilogy was just optioned for Hollywood production. He also dabbles in comics and the rpg industry. He was elected President of the Horror Writers Association in 2001 and he held that position through the end of 2005. Past presidents have included Dean Koontz, Charles Grant, and Brian Lumley.
Joe currently lives with his wife and four children in Arizona.
